The Vacancy – Senior/Architectural Technologist

Location: Based from our Leeds office, just off the M62

 

Role Overview

As a Senior/Architectural Technologist with Torsion Care, you’ll lead the design process for innovative Care Home and Retirement Living projects, collaborating closely with teams to drive project success from concept through completion. This role requires M/CIAT qualifications, a keen eye for detail, and a strategic approach to deliver high-quality, compliant, and sustainable solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

Not only do you get to join a forward thinking and innovative team, but you will also be responsible for:

• Working closely with the Land Team to produce feasibility layouts for prospective sites
• Contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
• Leading the detailed design process and coordinate design information with the Design Manager
• Assisting and engage with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval
• Input to and produce standard care home room layouts for use within the build contract
• Appraising the performance of buildings which are in use and refine the design process and principles

What we are looking for:

Detail Oriented: You’ll need to have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality

Chartered Architectural Technologist: You’ll need to be M/CIAT qualified with experience in the care sector

A natural leader: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels in the organisation

Organised: You’ll need to bring superb organisation skills, including time management, prioritisation of tasks and self-motivation

An excellent communicator: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are needed as you’ll work with diverse groups of people.
