CIOB | Tomorrow’s Leaders: Behind the Screens
Torsion was proud to sponsor and attend the Chartered Institute of Building’s Tomorrow’s Leaders: Behind the Screens event at STEAMhouse in Birmingham. The session brought together students, early-career professionals and industry practitioners to explore how digital innovation is changing the way we design, deliver and operate buildings.
Our Technical Director, Martin Wing, delivered a practical presentation on the role of technology across the project lifecycle; from digital design workflows and model coordination to data-led handover and the “golden thread” of information. Martin focused on how these tools improve decision-making on site, reduce rework and enhance long-term asset performance.
The event showcased a genuine appetite for digital skills among the next generation of construction professionals. It was encouraging to see so many thoughtful questions and active engagement from the audience, and to exchange experiences with other organisations committed to integrating technology and upskilling the workforce.
