Flax Place is a landmark Build-to-Rent project offering 300 high-quality apartments across two towers in Leeds, standing at 10 and 14 storeys. Designed by Day Architects, this development blends modern living with a strong focus on sustainability.
Project Overview
The project features a well-balanced mix of 1- and 2-bedroom apartments and incorporates eco-friendly design elements, such as Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) and connect to the Leeds District Heating system; while adding a natural touch to Leeds’ formerly industrial quarter.
Community Engagement
In line with Torsion’s commitment to social value, the site recently hosted students from Mount St Mary’s School. The visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at the construction process, highlighting a range of career opportunities in the built environment. Feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive, with many inspired to explore roles in construction.
Project Delivery
Flax Place is being delivered by Torsion Construction in partnership with Starlight Investments, with completion scheduled for Q1 2027. Once complete, it will provide high-quality, sustainable homes in one of Leeds’ fastest-growing residential areas.
